GBU Life is a member-owned community-focused life insurance provider that supports members in giving back to their local communities. In addition to providing excellent member benefits such as discount and reimbursement programs, GBU Life provides highly rated life insurance and annuity products to help members with securing their financial futures.
GBU Life offers two types of membership options. You can become a fully insured member with the purchase of GBU Life's life insurance or annuity products or you can become a social member. Read on to see which option is right for you!
GBU Life members have access to great benefits!
- Discount programs: enjoy members-only discounts for national and local restaurants, stores, entertainment and more.
- Reimbursement programs: receive a reimbursement for learning a new language or taking a driver's safety course.
- Community giving support: support the causes that are important to you with GBU's Give Back Groups program. Receive donation matches and community project reimbursement for the organizations and causes you support in your community. Love to volunteer? GBU will make a donation when you volunteer your time at your favorite non--profit organization.
- Scholarship programs: GBU offers multiple secondary education scholarships and grants as well as high school freshman grants.
- GBU Life Member Community: access to a private social community to exchange ideas and find out about great projects and events in your community.
- Educational Opportunities: earn points toward continued education or community development grants through the GBU Youth Leaders Program. Attend virtual leadership training sessions and complete community projects to earn your points (grade levels 2-12).

Which Membership is right for you?
Full Insured Membership
When you are insured by a GBU life insurance policy or the owner of a GBU annuity, you automatically become a full or "insured" member of GBU Life.
Insured Member Benefits:

- A voice and a vote in all GBU matters (GBU Life is member owned!)

- Access to the Give Back University learning opportunities and incentives
- All additional life insurance benefits (such as Orphan Benefit and Newborn Child Benefit)

- A welcome donation on your behalf to the GBU partner organization of your choice.
- Birthday Match donation to the organization of your choice during your birthday month.

Social Membership
If you're not ready for a life insurance or annuity policy right now, but you are still passionate about supporting your community, GBU offers a social membership for $25.00 per year.

*GBU social members may submit one Give Back Group donation match request and one community project reimbursement request per year.
