 HOW GBU DISTRICTS ARE HELPING THEIR COMMUNITIES

Each year, GBU districts across the country choose a local organization to support with a $1,000 donation. Then GBU matches additional member donations made to the organization through March 31, up to $2,500. Below are the organizations that each district has chosen to support. If you would like to donate to the organization chosen by your district, you can make a donation where available on the organization's website or mail a check to the organization (both options are included below for each organization), then send us a note using the form below with the details of your donation!

    The Leukemia Foundation for Arizona's Children (LFAC) seeks to ease the suffering of children diagnosed with leukemia by providing swift and direct financial assistance.     Our mission, to strive to provide a unique experience that promotes healing, self-esteem, confidence and general well-being for burn injured children, is what camp is all about. We are a mostly volunteer run organization comprised of caring compassionate adults. Our goal is to provide unconditional love and acceptance to all burn survivors that attend our camp. We are dedicated to creating a safe space for campers to grow and bond with other burn survivors.

    As a volunteer-based organization, we are focused on promoting the health, well-being and happiness of individuals through equine-assisted services. Through the support of its instructors, dedicated volunteers and the community, OATS has grown to one of the largest programs of its type in Michigan. 


    OATS is proud to be a PATH International Premier Accredited Center. PATH International  is the credentialing organization for accrediting centers and certifying instructors and equine specialists for equine-assisted services.

  • District 699, Pet Angel Adoption and Rescue

    Pet Angel is a non-profit 501(c)(3), no-kill shelter that specializes in socializing our animals in our mostly free-roam facility. Since opening, we have rehomed approximately 2,000 cats and kittens. All of the cats that come through Pet Angel are fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped before going to loving, forever homes and they also receive socialization, love, and care while being at our rescue.
